Title Project Manager
Job Type Contract
Overview Major Job Function:
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and leading of project activities to achieve project objectives. In addition, the Project Manager will help drive out the project objectives, making sure they align with corporate objectives. Original term of the consulting contract is to start as soon as possible and run for 6 months.
Essential Job Functions:

1. Clearly establish the scope (charter) of the project.
2. Facilitate planning sessions to derive tasks necessary to fulfill requirements.
3. Identify and obtain human resources, material resources and budget compliance to complete the project by due date.
4. Handle multiple project budgets and constraints.
5. Determine policies and procedures applicable to the project while complying with corporate guidelines.
6. Manage and motivate people to complete deliverables with high quality
7. Resolve conflicts related to project activities.
8. Systematically and logically decomposes work.
9. Be able to “roll up their sleeves” at times and help in areas where their skill-sets are applicable. Areas could include analysis, testing, documentation, training, etc.
10. Build high-performing, self-organizing teams.
11. Propose and drive alternative solutions when needed.
12. Constructively challenge ideas to refine solutions.
13. Continuously look for ways to become more efficient and effective.
14. Understands and can clearly communicate the details of their projects.
15. Builds strong relationships across the organization.
16. Able to discern when to stand-firm and when to adapt in any situation.
17. Contributes to process improvement activities as needed within the organization.

Education, Training and Experience Required

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or business administration preferred or equivalent work experience in information technology.
2. 3-5 years experience in technology which should include detailed knowledge of systems and/or programming, project management, and client server architecture.
3. Must have real-life experience with Agile/Lean techniques (Extreme Programming, Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Experience running projects with “an agile mindset” is not enough.
4. 2+ years of leading high performing teams in the execution and delivery of solutions.
